Created as the first in a series of artists’ books exploring ideas of time, place, and gender through the images of Victorian-era taxidermy and taxonomy.
Concertina fold with hardcovers encased in dark grey fabric, printed on BFK Rives’ paper; with original letterpressed text and linocut drawings by the artist, using a variety of both wood and lead type. 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″, 6 double-sided panels.
Printed in a limited edition of 10 at the Binnewater Arts Center in Rosendale, New York, as part of the Women’s Studio Workshop in July, 2011.
